They both shoot well, but the MVP seems to handle better for me and it uses AR magazines instead of the proprietary Ruger mags with the Ruger American. Your issue will be the fixed magazine. WebAs far as the Howa's, I built a little howa 1500 mini action from brownells on an MDT LSS chassis. It shoots as good as I want it to and is a nice lightweight little chassis gun. I have not shot a grendel ruger, but I really don't like the plastic ruger stocks. If I bought a Ruger, I'd have to throw it into a little chassis or do something.
