Through independent testing, the 12-bolt rearend has a 3 1/2 percent better horsepower efficiency compared to the Ford 9-inch due in large part because of a reduction in friction and lubricant temperatures. WebAug 9, 2024 · Depends on what tires you go with. Regular ole street tires, it should be fine (there are exceptions). DR's or Slicks, you're on borrowed time. I've managed to get 228k on my 10-bolt and it's an M6 car. It's only saving grace has been the tires. They slip before the rear is really being stressed. Reply Like.

The long axle had 1" of engagement but the side gear has 2"s of splines.
