Web6 Feb 2011 · For a Savage 99, I'd want to retain this gun's trim looks so I'd put on a fixed Leupold 2.5X or maybe a 4X. For variables I'd go with a Leupold 1.5x5. I don't think bulbous scopes look good when combined with the lines of these fine guns. I also think scopes with 1" objectives look really slick on this style gun.
